The makers of the popular children’s series Masha and the Bear, videos of which are some of the most-watched on Youtube, have released a new episode specially for Easter, which falls on April 16 this year in Russia.
In the new video – “Surprise! Surprise!” – wolves steal a rooster from a poultry factory hoping it will lay eggs for them. Masha also paints eggs with her rabbit friend, so they can give them as presents, a Russian tradition.
The episode was uploaded on April 7, and has already been watched more than 12 million times.
Last month, another episode called “Masha plus Kasha (oatmeal)” recorded the fifth most views for a video in Youtube’s history, after it was watched over two billion times.
