The Foreign Minister of India Sushma Swaraj will take part in a meeting of Foreign Ministers from India, Russia and China in Moscow on April 18, and she is also planning to hold bilateral meetings with her counterparts Sergey Lavrov and Wang Yi, as well as with the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. This was announced on Thursday during an official briefing by Vikas Swarup, representative of the Foreign Ministry of India.
“The Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj will participate in the 14th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of China, India and Russia, which will be held on April 18 in Moscow. India attaches great importance to this meeting of foreign ministers from the RIC countries, which allows the three countries to exchange views and coordinate positions on international and regional issues of mutual interest,” he said.
“During the visit, the Minister will also hold a bilateral meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who is co-chair of the Russian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, to summarize issues related to the strengthening of this important aspect of the bilateral relations between the two countries. She will also meet with Sergey Lavrov, to discuss overall bilateral relations, and separately with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, to discuss bilateral relations between India and China,” said Mr. Swarup.
